Extraction of natural dyes

During this workshop you will be able to learn about the origin of the pigmentation of certain flowers, as well as the different forms of extraction. Then you will experiment with the pigments obtained to create a pictorial work.

About Melissa:

Respect for nature was sown by growing up near his grandparents, followed by a career in Agronomy. When she’s not tending California red worms or making compost, you see her constantly balancing watering, insects, harvesting, and the overall health of a complex urban garden ecosystem.

He is a plastic artist and coordinator of cultural activities at La Colecturía, Knowledge Interaction Center. His work focuses on drawing, painting and documentary photography.
