He is a research professor, by competitive examination, at the Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia (INAH); doctor in Social Sciences from El Colegio de Michoacán; master in History of Catholicism from the Universidad Pontificia de México; bachelor and master in History from the Universidad Autónoma de Puebla.
